We recently headed off to the Lake District for another hike and wild camp.
You may remember a certain Mr Stott from a previous outing to the Lakes (Dalehead Tarn), well he came with us on this one too - nice to have someone else to run with for a change!
Despite the dire weather forecast we were blessed with beautiful blue skies and a nice cooling breeze which certainly helped on the climb up to Styhead Tarn.
Surprisingly we didn't see that many people, most of those we did see were day hikers with just a handful of fellow wildcampers. We pretty much had Sprinkling Tarn to ourselves, much to the obvious delight of my human.
It was a stunning location for a wild camp. The photographs and video really don't do it justice.
We had a peaceful, uninterrupted nights sleep and a steady downhill hike back to the car the following morning topped off a really great wild camp. I really enjoyed myself (apart from when I got stuck on a cliff face and had to be lifted down!).
My human says we will be tackling Great End soon. Can't wait.
