The idea behind this wild camp was to get a nice, high-level view over Malham Tarn. That was the idea anyway.
Unfortunately by the time my human had finished faffing about taking us the long way around when a more direct route would have got us there in a third of the time, it was getting dark. Added to that the fact that a suitable pitch spot proved to be very difficult to find and by the time the tent was up we had very little time to enjoy the view. Well, my human didn't but I did.
Morning came and brought with it a very thick mist which only just allowed us to see to the edge of the hill. So, no views of the tarn for us or at least not until we got lower down anyway.
